General Background:

The YOUWIN (Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria) project, initiated in 2011 by the Federal Ministry of Finance, began as a pioneering social enterprise program aimed at nurturing young entrepreneurs through business planning and promotion. The flagship initiative was a business plan competition, which awarded grants to outstanding young Nigerians, empowering them to start or expand their businesses and driving job creation and economic growth nationwide. Over time, YOUWIN has evolved into YOUWIN Connect, expanding its focus to enterprise education that supports both emerging and established businesses across Nigeria's key economic sectors. Through YOUWIN Connect, the program offers resources, training, and mentorship to bolster skills and resilience among entrepreneurs, furthering the mission of economic empowerment and sustainable job creation.

Our Mission:

YOUWIN Connect promotes entrepreneurship as a career path for young Nigerians, encouraging innovation and resilience in critical sectors like Agriculture, ICT, Manufacturing, and more. We aim to bridge the skills gap, inspire budding entrepreneurs, and contribute to Nigeria’s economic development through targeted training and mentorship.

Enterprise Education

TYOUWIN Connect’s core mission is to educate and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs through a multimedia approach. Our programs are accessible through print, TV, radio, and digital media, delivering valuable insights and training to help participants PLAN, START, and GROW their businesses

Capacity Building

• Online Training: Year-round online training to enhance skills in Marketing, Financial and HR Management, and Business Operations.
• Masterclass Training: Intensive in-person training for top performers in sectors like Fashion, Manufacturing, and Agriculture, conducted in collaboration with partners such as Lagos Business School, ACCA, and Google.

Franchise Infrastructure Development

This initiative supports young entrepreneurs by promoting franchise models across Nigeria, fostering job creation, and enhancing income potential in key sectors like Agriculture, ICT, and Manufacturing. Franchise hubs have been established in each geopolitical zone to boost regional economic growth.

Enterprise Education on Campus/NYSC Camps:

Through events in tertiary institutions and NYSC camps, YOUWIN Connect reaches aspiring young entrepreneurs, exposing them to skills and opportunities for starting and scaling their businesses.
